Over 30,000 Homeschooling Students in Virginia

Over 30,000 students homeschooled in Virginia in 2012, learning individually or online, in small groups or with a tutor, taking community college courses or part-time public school classes. Homeschoolers gathered in parks for playdates, embarked on field trips locally and abroad, volunteered in their communities, played sports, went to proms, and wore a path to their local libraries. They pursued passions like ballet, science, music, drama, creative writing, robotics, chess, art, and nature studies.

The Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers is a non-profit public charity with 501(c)(3) status; your donation is tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. A financial statement is available from the Virginia Division of Consumer Affairs upon request.
