VaHomeschoolers Coffee Chat: Next Up is Harrisonburg

The Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers is sponsoring a series of informal coffee chats around the state. Our first Coffee Chat was held in Charlottesville in February and enjoyed by all; Harrisonburg will host the second of these events on Tuesday, March 15. Come pull up a chair, get yourself a favorite beverage, and join us.

Board of Directors member Ellissa Tiller of VaHomeschoolers will be on hand to chat with current and prospective homeschoolers about homeschooling all ages – from pre-school through the high school years. This fun and informal event offers the chance to ask questions about anything from beginning homeschooling to preparing for college or a vocation. This is also a great time and place to discuss any aspect of homeschooling life—including homeschooling with little ones underfoot and balancing commitments to paid and/or volunteer work with family-centered education. Come spend an hour or two in a welcoming atmosphere with the companionship of other homeschoolers—we’ll be looking for you!

We’re also scouting for good locations in the Tidewater, Fredericksburg, and Richmond areas for our next few Coffee Chats. If you have a good idea for a location in these areas or would like to have a Coffee Chat near you, please contact us with suggestions at
