We are a group of Christian families who work together to give our school aged children a once a week class experience based on history. The focus is college preparation for the high school, but all age levels are considered individually. We use a classical four year cycle of history from which writing, public speaking and other educational and fun experiences are drawn. Members must be accepted, and make a commitment to teach a morning class one day a week for approximately 14 weeks for the school year. This is usually divided into at least two parts, seven or eight weeks each. There is a fee of approximately $9. per month that mostly goes to the use of the building. The children have a variety of experiences including field trips and “recess”. Children make friends, and parents do too, while supporting one another in their goals. In 2012-13, the Mystery of History Vol 2 and 3 will be used for grades 4-8.
