Hands-on-History Mini Camp at Patrick Henry’s Scotchtown
Patrick Henry’s Scotchtown is proposing to host a “Hands on History” mini-camp starting on November 8, 2018 and concluding November 10th with a “Hands on History” day for the public.
During the mini-camp, we will include activities, history lessons, and 18th century children’s games. Some activities include: making their own haversack, making and keeping a journal, candle dipping, 18th century cooking, wool carding and dying. These are just some of the activities that will take place during the two days. There is limited availability for the mini-camp and an itinerary will be given with sign up papers. Ages: 9 to 12 years; the cost will be $50 for Thursday and Friday. The children will be given free admission Saturday if they wish to visit and interact with the reenactors.
We are very excited about this mini-camp as this will be our premiere for this type of camp. Looking forward to seeing all the Homeschooler!
