Give your students a school day they will never forget. We invite homeschool families from all states to take advantage of special rates all week at Luray Caverns. Bring your kids to discover the magic of the Caverns while learning the chemistry, geology and history behind this legendary Virginia landmark. Reservations are required, so please call 888-443-6551 or 540-743-6551 and choose option 4.

Triangle Rock Club Homeschool Visit – November 29, 2018

Triangle Rock Club loves to support the Homeschool Community and our visits include the necessary equipment, staff to belay participants, and two hours of action-packed fun. Those interested can use this link to sign up for one of these phenomenal visits. Please make sure participants wear close-toed shoes and active wear that a harness can fit over. Baggy clothing, skirts/dresses, and sandals/flip flops/Chacos are not recommended.

TRC would also love the opportunity to host your homeschool organization for a private event. We offer fantastic Group Visit options which include harnesses, staff belayers, and two hours of climbing in a reserved portion of our walls. We need at least two weeks’ notice to plan one of these awesome events. Let us know if you need an exciting back to school event or something similar and we’d be glad to send you more details! Frontier Culture Museum – Winter Homeschool Day 2018

The Frontier Culture Museum offers homeschool families the opportunity to learn history in the way that homeschoolers learn best: through active involvement in the day-to-day activities of the past. Students are encouraged to participate in cooking, gardening, wool and flax processing, and animal care. Special events can also be found throughout the year just for homeschool families. For groups of 15 or more interested in setting up a specific program, the Museum’s Group Reservationist will work with you to create a memorable experience!

Spring Homeschool Day at the Virginia Living Museum

The Virginia Living Museum offers homeschool students grades K through 12 a day of fun and engaging programs that highlight important natural and space science concepts. Programs are available for grades K-4. A lab about pond life is available for grades 5-12. All programs are curriculum and grade-level targeted and taught by the museum’s professional educators. All programs include a self-guided visit of museum exhibits and are offered at a discount to homeschool families. Admission is $14 for adults accompanying homeschool students on the visit. For homeschool students taking the self-guided visit with no programs, admission is $9 (ages 3-18).

Two times each year, we offer specially priced student matinee performance dates exclusively available to homeschool families and co-ops. This full-day experience at the Blackfriars Playhouse includes a performance and actor talkback, lunch at the Stonewall Jackson, and a suite of workshops with our award-winning education team.
