VaHomeschoolers Event Leader initiative aims to empower community members with the resources and support they need to organize and host enriching homeschooling events in their local areas. By providing volunteers with funding and guidance, we aim to create a vibrant network regional volunteers offering educational opportunities that foster learning, connection, and growth.

In the spirit of community and shared knowledge, the VaHomeschoolers Community Event Leader Program offers support to VaHomeschoolers members who wish to volunteer their time and talents to host educational events. Whether it’s a science fair, art workshop, history tour, or picnic, we believe that diverse activities enrich the homeschooling experience and create a supportive environment for both parents and students.

Volunteers will be eligible for approved budgetary funds to for event-related expenses, such as venue rentals, materials, guest speakers, and promotional activities. Additionally, our team will provide organizational support, including event planning resources, marketing assistance, and registration. By alleviating financial and logistical barriers, we aim to make it easier for community members to bring their creative and educational visions to life.

Interested volunteers can submit ideas through our user-friendly form. A selection committee will review ideas based on criteria such as community impact, feasibility, and alignment with VaHomeschoolers’ mission. Volunteers will be notified within four weeks for onboarding and will receive ongoing support throughout the event planning and execution process.
