The Comprehensive Guide to Homeschooling in Virginia was initially part of a large-scale, year-long update to the VaHomeschoolers website. The website redesign was a team project with contributions from Lois Curling, Jeanne Faulconer, Parrish Mort, Theresa Munt, Amy Wilson, Leslie Nathaniel, Stephanie Elms, Karen Phaup, Kendra Niehaus, Bettie Sotomayor, and Ann Clay. The redesign began in 2011 and the Guide went public on Nov. 13, 2012.
